All types of classic and vintage vehicles were on display in West Park, Aldwick on Sunday.

Kirsten Fitzpatrick, events officer at Bognor Regis Town Council said: “This event is now in its fifth year and this year’s Drive Through Time was dedicated to the memory of Anthony Hannam, without his passion, vision and drive this event may never have begun.

“Sadly, the wind and the rain in the morning kept some vehicles and visitors away, so the numbers were not as expected, however we had at least 150 vehicles and Zaz the clown had a full house in his big top tent for both performances.

“The clouds parted and the sun came out at 3pm when Iolar band took to the stage for their final performance which was enjoyed by many sitting in the sunshine on straw bales.”

Visitors also got to watch Lewis Hamilton win the British Grand Prix on the big screen, while updates from the Wimbledon final were being given out throughout the afternoon.

On the front page of this week’s Bognor Regis Gazette, we featured a picture of Mr Hannam sitting on a car but did not make it clear it was taken at a previous event, with Sunday’s Drive Through Time held in his memory. We apologise for any confusion caused.
