Worthing Thunder began their two-leg semi-final away to London Capitals in the Englsih Basketball League Play-off Championship. League champions Thunder fell to a nine-point defeat. We had reporter Richard Amey and photographer Ian Muir there. There's a great shot of Janis Ivanovskis.

In Sussex County League football, Worthing United, Lancing and, now, Storrington are in the relegation mire. Lancing played a second time and won at Steyning. We had Sam Satchell at the game which brought substantial hope to Lancing, got skipper Ashley Bailey's star on the rise, and deepened Swans' danger.
