West Tarring club 's great effort

However on arrival they discovered that the age groups had all been merged into one open competion and West Tarring would be playing teams up to 19 years of age.

The players were asked if they were happy to go ahead and they unanimously decided to play.

Six teams competed and at the end of a very exhausting evening the West Tarring team had won two matches and came fourth out of the six teams.

It was an outstanding effort since the boys were no match for the height of other players.
