The Bexhill club will take on Honiton in the quarter-finals of the Yetton Plate at Riverside IBC, Winchester, on Saturday. Play will start at 12noon.

Egerton recorded comfortably the most emphatic victory of anybody in the last 16 with a stunning 102-33 thrashing of Dorchester at Palmerston IBC, Fareham, on Saturday January 24.

Dorchester, in fact, conceded the game with 20 ends overall still to play as Egerton - who were runners-up in the same competition two years ago - were dominant on all four rinks.

Honiton, from Devon, had to work a touch harder for their fourth round win, eventually seeing off Thornbury 81-65.

The other last eight ties, incidentally, will pit Doncaster against Louth, Bromsgrove against Beccles and Tye Green against Swale.

The winners of the Tye Green versus Swale match will face the winners of the tie between Egerton and Honiton in the semi-finals on February 28.

Egerton defeated Victory 77-72, Preston 86-74 and Horsham 100-60 in the earlier rounds.
