Racing gets under way at 2pm and the seven-race card rounds off at 5.25 for the midweek action, where Sussex trainer Gary Moore sends five runners.

Up first is a 2m3f maiden hurdle in class four where dual bumper winner Roger Pol steps up in trip after a promising second in hurdles debut last time out at Newton Abbot. Sun Joy, a useful hurdler in France, makes his debut for the Ben Pauling yard and also sets a high standard here off a six-month break.

Race two is up next at 2.35 where No Hubs No Hoobs looks the one to beat in the 3m1f handicap chase. The Joe Tizzard-trained seven-year-old has gone well fresh previously and is down in grade here as well. Pilot Show is likely to be his main rival, recording a solid third when making his seasonal return back at Ffos Las in April.

The third race on the card is a 2m5f handicap hurdle, with 12 runners set to head to post at 3.10. Recent Plumpton winner King Otis has the form heading into the race and steps up in trip here, which should suit the seven-year-old. Celtic Fortune, a course and distance third back in May, looks the main challenger with Harry Cobden on board.

The midway point of the card is a handicap hurdle in class three at 3.45, where trainer Gary Moore looks to have a very strong hand with Kansas Du Berlais, who has won two of his last three starts before a bit of a struggle in handicap company. Issam was twice a winner over hurdles in France and is likely to pose a strong threat to the Moore runner.

Race five at 4.20 sees Moore have another strong hand with the ultra-consistent Aviles, who has finished second on his last four runs and is taken to go one better here. The Joe Tizzard-trained Tamaris should have a strong say in proceedings however, having won on his last two appearances including one at Plumpton last time out.

The penultimate race of the afternoon is a 2m3f handicap hurdle in class five. Gaye Legacy posted a good third on novice debut at Ludlow six months ago and will appreciate the step up in trip on return here. Bushtucker Park is one to consider as well having finished fourth of 11 runners in a handicap hurdle back in May.

The card closes with a nine-runner handicap hurdle in class five over 2m1f at 5.25.Sussex trainer Moore once again has a very strong claim here, taking a major step forward for the yard when landing a novice hurdle at Plumpton on his last run. Moore also has Executive Pool in this race, who holds considerations after winning at Plumpton back in April.
