Hide AdThe Year 8 squad had a great Mid Sussex District Cup run but were beaten in the final. But the icing on the cake has been the terrific performance by our Year 7 Boys Football team this season.
The boys were unbeaten in Division 2 and won their play off so will therefore be playing in Division 1 next season.
The squad reached the semi-final of the Mid Sussex Cup but to top it all the boys put in a terrific performance on Wednesday 13 May to win the Brighton & Hove School Cup. Sixty minutes of fantastic football lead to a convincing win over Hove Park School in the final.
The match was played on a fantastic pitch at Whitehawk FC in the sunshine in front of a big crowd of supporters from both schools.

Hide AdThe Hove Park School goalie pulled off some impressive saves, but our boys were too determined to win.
A great run from Ed Turns led to our first goal, followed by a superbly taken free kick by Shay Leahy and a hat trick by Adam Lindo sealed the win.
All the boys played with heart and soul from start to finish and are a credit to Downlands.
The squad includes Charlie Jones, Angus Hill, Adam Lindo, Ed Turns, Alfie Baldock, Matt Holmes, Josh Hickingbotham, Dexter Webb, Shay Leahy, Oli Munt, Cameron West and Sam Wright.
