It took just 17 minutes for Loxwood to open the scoring as Dean Wright drove into the area and beat several players on the way to finishing beyond a helpless Simon Lockwood in goal.

Mark Cave then scored a stunning 20-yard volley after YM failed to clear their lines to put Loxwood 2-0 up.

Loxwood were 3-0 up by the break as Wright beat the offside trap to finish smartly in the corner for his second.

It was much of the same after the break as free-scoring Loxwood added another to their tally early on as Shaun Findlay finished well after good work from Joe Holvey down the wing.

Demoralised YM allowed Wright his hat-trick as he smashed in Findlay’s cross in the 55th minute and Andre Elkana deservedly got on the scoresheet, firing the ball into the back of the net just moments later.

Matters only got worse for YM when in the 86th minute Nick Sullivan was given a straight red card for dissent.

The 10 men of YM couldn’t hold on and conceded for a final time a couple of minutes from the end when the ball found its way to substitute Craig Grantham who was 6 yards out. He scuffed his first shot but made no mistake with the second attempt to round off the scoring at 7-0.
