Brighton and Hove Albion are set to resume their Premier League campaign at the Amex Stadium against Arsenal on June 20.

Albion season ticket holders and MyAlbion+ members can purchase their own personalised cutout which will be placed in the East Upper for the remaining five home matches - but it's fair to say the idea has received mixed views from supporters on social media.

Fans who wish to participate were asked to wear the club colours when they pose for their pictures but the cost of £20 - some of which goes to the Albion As One charity fund - has drawn criticism.

The club hope the cutouts will provide players “with some visual home support for these important games.” A club statement read: "Cut-outs will be positioned in consecutive blocks in central areas of the Upper East Stand.

"Unfortunately, we won’t be able to place cut-outs in specific seats, nor guarantee cut-outs of family and friends are situated next to each other due to the nature of the project.

The cut-out fans will be positioned in the upper tier of the East Stand, providing the team with some visual support for these important games and supporters are encouraged to wear colours to create a stand full of blue and white.

"Other areas of the stadium will feature other club and partner branding as part of a Premier League initiative.

Orders must be in this Thursday to ensure the cutout appears at the Arsenal game on June 20.

Fans will receive details of how to upload their picture, which will then be converted into a cutout.

The covering of lower tier will likely include the club insignia.

Brighton are also set to welcome Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Newcastle. Graham Potter's men are two points above the relegation zone with nine matches remaining.
