Albion’s latest signing trained with the club for the first time today and manager Graham Potter said the midfielder is likely to be a part of the matchday squad.

Potter said: “He trained well today, he hasn’t had much football in terms of competitive games but he’s trained well and will be available for us.

“I think it is an exciting signing for us. Billy’s a very able footballer and great character. I think he will fit into the group and I'm looking forward to working with him.”

Brighton will be without Jakub Moder and Adam Lallana – with Potter stating that the latter was unlikely to return before the International break on September 24.

The Albion manager is also unlikely to be without striker Jeremy Sarmiento. Potter said the striker had been training today, but was being eased back slowly into the squad.

Brighton will be looking to get back to winning ways, following their first defeat of the season at Craven Cottage on Tuesday.

They face a Leicester side who have been struggling so far in this campaign, picking up one point in their first five games.
