Brighton transfer rumours: Albion player unhappy with current situation at club

There’s a fine line between having a squad large enough to deal with the rigours of the Premier League and having one that is so big that some players are left kicking their heels.

Brighton are hardly overrun with personnel, but based on a recent interview from winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh, he is less than satisfied with his current game time on the south coast.

The Iranian has struggled for minutes since arriving in England, and he seemed more than happy to tell it like it is in a recent conversation with continental title Voetbal International.

He said: "I want to play more, that’s clear. I am at the peak of my career and should not be lurking for a place.”

The player then went on to suggest that he is undecided as to where his future lies.

What that means in terms of whether or not he will still be at Brighton come the end of the window remains to be seen, but it’s safe to say that Jahanbakhsh is far from being a happy customer.
