EP CC continue winning start

EAST PRESTON Cricket Club go into their first league match of the season on Saturday on the back of three successive friendly victories.

After defeating Littlehampton last weekend, EP defeated Portslade on Saturday and won at Preston Nomads on Sunday.

Darryl Rebbetts, with five fours and two sixes, top-scored with 61 not out in EP's total of 219-3, from their 40 overs, against Portslade. Leon Davis added an unbeaten 56 with six fours and three sixes and Colin Smith struck 34.

In reply, Portslade were all out for 151. Sam Jones hit 39 while Dan Williams took 3-29. There were also two wickets each for Sean Rebbetts, Darryl Rebbetts and under-13 colt, Tony Charrin.

On Sunday, EP scored 212-6 against a Nomads side, made up of second and third team players. Davis, Josh Carter, Jack Sunderland, Andy Reeves and Keith Chamberlain all hit scores in the 30s.

Gareth Bunday's 5-27 then helped bowl Nomads out for 123.

EP's first league match is at home to Keymer on Saturday.
