By winning last year’s Gray-Nicolls Sussex T20 Cup, Priory earned the right to take part in the NatWest Club T20 and they will face Surrey winners Ashtead in a south area semi-final at Horsham CC today (Sunday).

Should they win that match, Priory will meet the winners of the other semi-final between South Wilts and Beckenham later the same day.

The winners of that will advance to the regional finals on August 24. The regional finals feed into the national finals, which will be held at Northamptonshire CCC on September 9 and will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Priory first team coach Ian Gillespie said: “It’s a welcome break for us. We’ll go up there, forget about everything else, relax and enjoy a game of intense, competitive Twenty20, and see how it goes.”
