Cowdray Golf Club has new lady captain

FOLLOWING tradition, the retiring Ladies' Captain Frances Marjoram putted out on the 18th green and the incoming captain Margaret Curwood drove in to start her year.

Margaret had been in the army in her youth and her committee dressed in the appropriate khaki uniform to announce Margaret on to the tee.

After Margaret's drive 92 ladies and gentlemen played in an 18 hole texas scramble on a chilly but sunny day.
