Third-placed Crowborough remain six points clear of Mullets after grabbing two goals in the last three minutes to beat Shoreham 3-2. Arundel still have two games in hand.

Arundel manager Vic Short said: "If we win all three of our remaining games we'll finish third. If we win two, we'll finish fourth."

Also in Division 1, there were defeats for East Preston, Wick and Littlehampton.

EP lost 2-1 at Hailsham where Dan Leach scored a last-minute winner for the home side. It is the second time this season that Leach has netted a late winner against EP. Sonny Banks' 65th-minute wonder strike had equalised Hailsham's first-half goal.

EP boss Chris White said: "We were mugged again. That's twice we've lost to them in the last minute now this season.

"I had a bit of a go at half-time but we played very well in the second half. Their keeper Russell Tanner made two different-class saves to save shots from Dan White and James Rhodes at 1-1."

Wick took a second-minute lead against title-chasing Eastbourne Town through Tom Manton before going down to a 2-1 defeat.
