SHOREHAM Football Club went down to a 3-2 defeat at third-placed Crowborough on Saturday.

Darren Annis' strike 10 minutes from time gave Mussels a 2-1 lead but Crowborough snatched the points with two goals in the last three minutes.

Richard Carter had given Mussels a first-minute lead.

It was a third successive defeat for Shoreham after losing to Three Bridges (2-1) last Saturday and Chichester (4-1) on Thursday.

In Division 2, Mile Oak won 1-0 at champions Pagham. Jason Fleming hit the only goal six minutes before half-time.

Steyning Town recorded their third consecutive victory to beat Broadbridge Heath 2-0. Steve Duffett and James Pargeter struck Town's goals. The defeat means Heath drop into the Division 2 relegation places with Storrington overtaking them.
