Witness appeal for Knole Road break-in

Two laptop computers, cash and jewellery were stolen from a ground floor flat in Knole Road on Monday morning.

Sussex Police believe the flat was broken into via Knole Road but the burglar left via a ground floor window onto De La Warr Parade.

The items stolen were wrapped up in a distinctive burgundy, gold, red and purple velvet cover which had bell patterns in each corner and measured 5' by 4'.

DC Roy Stephenson said: "The laptops contained documentation that have value to the aggrieved party but in particular the velvet cover has a sentimental value to the victims who would be very grateful to get this item back which has no value to anybody else. We would like to hear from anybody who may have information regarding this burglary or who may have seen any persons acting suspiciously in the area of Knole Road, Middlesex Road or De la Warr Parade on Easter Monday."

Anyone with information can call 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial number 659 of the 13th April or if you would prefer to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
