PARISH CHURCH NEWS: Sunday 17th July the church service at Whatlington will be our 9.30am Parish Communion. Looking ahead to the following weekend of July 23rd/24th we will be celebrating our Patronal weekend, on the Saturday we will be holding a Coffee & Cake morning in the church between 10am and 12 noon, then, on the Sunday the church service will be a 6pm Patronal Evensong, followed by refreshments in the church. Volunteers are also sought to stand on the Parochial Church Council and to act as Church Warden to support Jeffrey Bridges and Rev Kevin Mepham.

PARISH COUNCIL NEWS: Chairman of the council Roger Fisher has floated the idea of a community fund to be overseen by a small working group to make suggestions for village events to the council for approval. An opportunity to discuss this will be offered at the next parish council meeting on 18 August at 7.30 pm or give your comments to the village website [email protected].
