UPDATE: Water supply in Hastings to return this evening

Repairs have been made to a burst water main in Hastings with the water supply problem set to be solved this evening (Sunday August 30).

A Tweet from Southern Water, sent at 6.10pm, said: “Water is starting to be pumped through the main, all customers should have supply within the next 2-4 hrs. Thank you again for your patience.”

As many as 8,500 homes have been without water all day due to the burst main in Sidlescombe Road.
