UPDATE: Elderly woman rescued from Broad Oak crash

A woman in her 70s was freed from the wreckage of a car crash in Broad Oak on Sunday night (June 26).

Two East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Rye and Broad Oak were sent to Chitcombe Road following reports of a crash at around 8.50pm.

The woman was trapped in the wreckage so firefighters cut her free.

Paramedics checked over the woman at the scene but she did not need hospital treatment.
