Geoff Budd, TR Fastenings director and European managing director said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring young tennis player, Amelia Devlin. It is vital to nurture young British tennis talent and despite her young age, Amelia has already demonstrated she has both the talent and the determination to succeed. We look forward to folowing her progress.”

Amelia, started playing tennis when she was four and now, aged ten, competes regularly at both county and at regional level. She has won numerous tournaments and dreams of one day winning Wimbledon. Each week she has six hours of lessons and spends any spare time on the courts practising. In 2016 she will be progressing to using a yellow ball and is aiming to compete in several tournaments including Devonshire Park, Bromley, West Worthing, Tunbridge Wells and many more.

A member of three Sussex tennis clubs, East Hoathly, Cross-in-Hand and Virgin Active in Brighton, Amelia’s commitment and determination impress her coach Greg Watson. Greg explained: “Amelia is a natural athlete and has all the ingredients to become a top British player. She is also extremely mature for her age and is totally prepared to make the necessary sacrifices required to succeed in this highly competitive sport.”

Rating Caroline Wozniacki and Eugenie Bouchard as her heroes, Amelia’s passion for tennis is heartfelt. “I just love everything about the game, playing it, watching it, dreaming about it,” she says, adding “TR’s support means I can increase the number of lessons I have, which means that I will develop my game faster. It also helps me to buy sports clothes and equipment. This season I move up to playing with a yellow ball which I am really looking forward to, but the game will be tougher and I will need to carry more tennis rackets and also pay for re-stringing as it is more common for strings to go at this level.”

TR Fastenings is the trading business arm of Trifast PLC. Worldwide operations span the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Germany, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, India and the USA. The firm supplies to customers in sectors including automotive, electronics/telecoms, general industrial, audio, petrochemical and marine.
