UPDATE: Male cut from car after accident on A24 at Dial Post

A male driver has been released from a car that ended up in a ditch on the A24 at Dial Post this afternoon (Tuesday September 2).

Fire crews, police and the ambulance service were called to the incident at about 3.40pm.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue service said the man was released using ‘small gear’.

Fire crews from Horsham, Worthing and Storrington attended the incident.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said one lane of the A24 northbound was closed.

South East Coast ambulance service sent a car and an ambulance to the scene.

Everyone involved was assessed and treated at the site and no hospital treatment was required.
