Storrington man in fatal crash named

A STORRINGTON man who died after his car was involved in a head-on collision with an HGV near Findon has been named.

John Sebastian Brown, 62, of Amberley Road, was pronounced dead at the scene in Long Furlong on Wednesday January 18 just before 2.30pm.

The driver of the 32 tonne lorry, a 24-year-old man, also from Storrington, was unhurt.

Police and emergency services attended the scene and the A280 Long Furlong was closed for a number of hours while forensic examinations were carried out and the road cleared of debris and oil.

Sussex Police is appealing for witnesses to the collision to call 101 quoting Operation Alderbrook.
