BEXHILL Amateur Theatrical Society's (BATS) next production will be Shakespeare's Hamlet: Prince of Denmark, and budding actors who fancing treading the boards are invited to '˜stand ho' and audition for a part.

Auditions will take place at the Granary Barn, Broad Oak Park on Thursday April 7, commencing at 7.30pm.

Performance dates are Mon-Sat July 25 – 31 at Manor Gardens, Bexhill.

A spokesperson for BATS said the play will be in the costume of Shakespeare’s period, adding: “The script requires very substantial cuts which are in progress towards an adapted script which will be ready for the audition. so a script cannot be loaned in advance.”

This latest production will be a change from the usual open air comedies that the local am dram company performs at the Manor Barn.
