Sweet-toothed fundraiser at Mummery

Caring staff at Mummery are organising a fun-filled coffee morning, to help raise funds for deafness and hearing loss charity, RNID.

Homemade cakes and fresh coffee will be available at Mummery in Ninfield Road on Wednesday May 27 from 9.30am until midday and the Devonshire Road branch the morning after, Thursday May 28. All money raised will go towards RNID's vital 'Hear to Help' service.

Hear to Help trains volunteers, many of whom have a hearing loss and understand the impact it can have on someone's life, to provide support to hearing aid users in their local communities. RNID trained volunteers show people how to maintain and get the best performance from their hearing aids, as well as providing vital advice on hearing equipment for the home so that they can live a full and active life.

Jackie Herring, Funeral Arranger, said: "We are supporting RNID to help change the world for the nine million people who are deaf or hard of hearing in the UK. The Hear to Help project reduces isolation for people with a hearing loss by providing practical support and, with the help members of the local community, we are determined to raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile cause."
