Bexhill Street Art FestivalSunday 17th September 2006Devonshire Road, Bexhill 12 noon - 4pmDevonshire Road once again becomes the home of street arts, with a day of comedy, exciting characters and a giant compost heap! Part continental street market, part theatre, this will be an all engrossing day.

The day includes performances from Mat Ricardo, expert high level object manipulator, top newsmen James Dunkworth and Martin Glover from Dot Comedy with their news desk reporting news from the streets of Bexhill as it happens, Famos Bramwells magic tricks and hilarity, and playful assaults and loony tunes style violence from Invisible Dave.

Inside Out Theatre Company will be performing 'Seeing is Believing' a show of magic and illusions, which does not always go according to plan! The company has also been working with young people in Bexhill over the summer resulting in a young peoples show which will also be performed on the day.

Whalley Range All Stars are bringing their latest show Compost Mentis to Devonshire Square. The tale of a large compost heap and the gardener who looks after it. Their relationship slowly begins to break down when it's discovered that the compost heap has a life of its own and harbours thoughts that are fermenting within.

All this happening alongside the Anglo French market, taking place on the Saturday and Sunday, which brings over 40 traders from France, Sussex and Kent to Bexhill selling a huge range of produce from French bread, croissants, cheese, olives to local fruit, beer, crafts plants gifts and much more.

This major FREE family event is brought to you by Rother District Council, East Sussex Arts Partnership and Inside Out Theatre Company with the Bexhill Chamber of Commerce.
