Sidley recreation park launches tomorrow

The park, which is a joint project by Rother District Council (RDC) and the Young Pioneers, used designs by local children and places strong emphasis on working with Bexhill's community.

Grant funding from the Sussex Police and the Hastings and Rother Primary Care Trust helped fund the project.

From 1pm-4pm children can get to grips with the new facilities, enjoy refreshments and take part in a range of activities including arts and crafts and planting a seed to take home. Adults are invited to challenge a team of Council and Police Officers in a rounders game.

RDC Cllr Jonathan Johnson, portfolio holder for Children and Youth Issues, said: "We are always thrilled when a new play facility is opened, and are grateful for the assistance received from partners and the community."
