Senlac Scout District celebrates its youngsters' achievements

SENLAC District Scouts recognised the achievement of 37 of its young people in a ceremony awarding them certificates for completing more than 100 challenges.

The challenges celebrates the centenary of Scouting.

The 100-challenge initiative was formed at county level as a way for all age levels of Scouts - from six year-olds to 18 year-olds - to have a contest with similar goals and outcome.

Each age range had about 125 challenges, appropriate to their age, from which to choose.

They had a year to accomplish the task.

Scouts from all of East Sussex had the opportunity of taking part and each of the districts will be honouring the success of their young people in similar ceremonies over the coming weeks.

Certificates for 25, 50 and 75 challenges were presented at group level as they were completed.

This helped keep a focus on the project throughout the year.
