School celebrates 40th birthday

Bishop Luffa School, Chichester, is about to reach its 40th birthday '“ and all previous pupils and staff are being invited to join in the celebrations.

The Parents' and Friends' Association is organising a reunion at the school on September 20, and is hoping many former pupils will take the opportunity to get together to share their memories.

From 6pm there will be a chance to see some of the new facilities that have been added to the school, including the sports hall, workshops and the enlarged library, before enjoying a buffet supper, live music and a licensed bar from 7.30pm.

For the more energetic, there will be a five-a-side competition and a netball match in the sports hall from 6pm, while for those who really want to re-live the challenges of the past there is a chance to tackle the school's traditional cross-country course at 4pm.

Tickets, which cost 5 per person and include food, can be obtained from the school by post by sending a cheque (payable to Bishop Luffa Parents' and Friends' Association) and an SAE, stating the year of entry to the school. The school's address is: Bishop Luffa, Neville Road, Chichester.
