Sarah Lee Trust shop opens in Bexhill

The Sara Lee Trust is opening a charity shop at 50 Western Road tomorrow, Saturday October 3.

The shop will be officially opened at 10.30am by Lady Shawcross who is the widower of Lord Shawcross, Attorney General and chief prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials.

Fundraising Manager Maria Gonet said: "The shop has been set up by our Chairman, Mrs Jenny Yeo, MBE who has worked tirelessly with the support of friends and volunteers to get the shop ready for opening.

"We would like to thank everyone who has donated items for the shop.

"This will be our first ever charity shop, and initially we will be open for 3 months. We very much hope that people will visit the shop and support the Trust and help fund our essential work.

"The Sara Lee Trust provides complementary therapies, creative arts therapies, counselling and sanctuary days to people living with Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease and HIV/Aids in Hastings and Rother.
