Rye antiques shopis best in England
RYE shop Glass Etc has been named the best antiques shop in England by Homes and Antiques Magazine.
The shop, at Ropewalk, is run by glass expert Andy McConnell and his wife Helen. Andy is one of the experts used by BBC’s Antiques Road Show.
He said: “We came second, for the second year running. The difference this year is that the winner is based in Edinburgh, which means that we are England’s undisputed Antique Shop of the Year!
He added: “The accolade is based on people voting, so thank you to everyone
who voted for us.”
