Rail disruption after person hit by train
Rail services have been severely disrupted this morning (Thursday September 11) in the Horsham district due to a person being hit by a train in the Horley area.
Southern Rail say that a reduced number of train services are now operating between East Croydon and Gatwick Airport but these services will not serve Earlswood, Salfords or Horley.
Ticket acceptance has been agreed on alternative routes offered by South West Trains and Southeastern and Metrobus are accepting rail passengers on bus services between Redhill and Gatwick Airport (Route 100).
London Underground are also accepting rail passengers on tube services between Victoria and London Bridge.
Horley Station is closed.
