Quiz time for surgery the Friends of West Meads surgery

It is being held at West Meads Community Hall in The Precinct, Aldwick, at 7pm for 7.30pm.

Teams of up to eight can take part and the 8 a head ticket price includes a fish and chip supper and refreshments.

The Friends of West Meads Surgery, which is also in The Precinct, raise money for items benefiting patients which are not provided by the NHS.

The group was formed 18 months ago and has already bought several items, the latest a 1,000 mobile surgical lamp.

It has also purchased two extra electronic fingertip pulse oximeters, which allow doctors to make a fast assessment of a patient's health.

Last summer it provided a mineral water dispenser in the waiting room for patients' use.

The Friends have invited consultant rheumatologist Dr Sanjeev Menon to give a free educational talk on osteoporosis at the surgery on Tuesday at 7pm.
