Pupils excel at charity art show

YOUNG artists from Vinehall School in Robertsbridge enjoyed success at the recent Cancer Research UK Art Exhibition in Battle recently.

All 112 entries by Vinehall pupils featured in the exhibition and many of the pupils received commendations for their artwork.

Emily Everist was placed first in her age group category and her original artwork can be seen in the Saffron Gallery in Battle for the next few weeks.

The first placed artwork from each age group from Battle will be displayed alongside other area winners at next years’ Chelsea CRUK Young Art Exhibition at the Royal College of Art in London.

Vinehall student Rosie Kremer was placed second in her age group category and Gabriel Cunningham was placed third.

All winners received prizes and have had their work framed.

A spokesperson for Vinehall said: “Congratulations to all pupils who took the time and considerable effort to showcase their wonderful artistic talent and thanks to the parents for their support.”
