‘Proud’ council boss ready for retirement
He has been the chief executive officer of Adur and Worthing councils for the last two years.
Mr Latham said: “Local government is an interesting job – no matter how many times you think you’ve seen it, something new pops up. It’s been great to be part of.

“The councillors and the officers think, as a team, we’ve formed a very strong but beautiful council.”
Mr Latham turned 62 this month and got married in July. He believes that after 44 years of working life, now is the right time to move on.
“Age in itself is not important, he said. “I don’t think it matters one bit, it’s the fight in the dog that matters. I want to take another book off the shelf and put the local government book back.”
