POST OFFICE ROBBERY

A ROBBERY took place at Windmill Hill Post Office at about 5.30pm yesterday (March 9).

A man entered the store, demanded money and threatened staff with what appeared to be a handgun.

He is described as in his early 20s, medium height, wearing a black hip-length coat with a fur lined hood which was pulled up.

He made off with a small amount of cash.

Shortly after the robbery a car was found burning in Horsebridge. It is not known whether the two incidents are linked.
