Peace Party candidate Jim Duggan ‘excited’ to stand again in Horsham

Mr Duggan, 74, has stood in several district, county and General Elections in Horsham and will be standing in the Horsham District Council ward of Horsham Park in May.

He said that the party will be campaigning on all the issues including fracking, banking and housing.

He said: “I’m feeling good about this year. I’m slowing down obviously but I’m excited. It’s all happening this year as we have a new party running which I think is terrific.

“We are involved in everything and we are part of the solution, not the problem. I ask people to go out and vote on principal, not the party.”

The Peace Party seeks to promote a compassionate and respectful society and values cooperation over competition.

Mr Duggan and the Peace Party will be in the Carfax over the Easter weekend and every Saturday leading up to the election from 10am to talk to voters about their campaign.

Mr Duggan is a signatory of the County Times’ Free Speech Charter.

He will be standing against UKIP’s Roger Arthur, Labour’s Martyn Davis, Darrin Green of the Green Party, the Lib Dems’ Morwen Millson the Conservatives’ Jeremy Quin, independent Jim Rae, and James Smith of the Something New Party.
