Police warning issued after chicken theft
Today’s advice (Thursday, January 2) follows a spate of break-ins on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
In Goda Road, various items including frozen food, wine, champagne, tools and cycles were stolen from an outbuilding.

Hide AdIn Mill Lane, between 11am and 2pm on New Year’s Eve thieves broke into a shed and chicken coop, stealing a number of birds along with some chicken feed.
Earlier, in Norfolk Road, stereo equipment was stolen after a further shed was broken into, between Saturday, December 28, and Monday, December 30.
A spokeswoman from Sussex Police said: “If you have any outbuildings please secure them with decent bolts or padlocks.
“Ask your local hardware store for the best type to use. Also consider an alarm for your shed or garage.
“These can be purchased at a very reasonable price.”

Hide AdAnyone with information about the crimes is being asked to called police on 101.
Officers are also reminding people that if they witness a crime or suspect a one is taking place, to call them immediately on 999.
