Plan for flat above garage in Hove opposed
They are concerned about potential problems, such as noise and fumes, should a home be built above Wickenden’s Garage in Scott Road.
Similar plans were rejected in 2013 over noise concerns.
And a new report said that disturbance from the garage and the impact of noise on future occupants had not been properly considered.

But nine people have written to support the plan while five have objected.
Warrick Armsby-Ward, co-owner of the nearby Stoneham Pub, in Portland Road, wrote to support the plan.
He said: “This is a modest and sensible development that will have little impact on the local area.”

He said: “I have lived here for over 50 years and I remember the original flat over the garage. It caused no problems for me then and I do not think it will now.”
However, Mr Poole’s neighbour Anna Lin opposed the plans.
She wrote: “We do not want the back of our premises blocked by this ‘building’ if it is being built.
“We understand it would be on top of the garage and therefore the windows are apparently looking into our premises hence no privacy for our back garden.”
