Pin money for Worthing purse raiders
THE number of purse thefts from ladies' handbags soared over the Easter weekend, according to police.
Most of the thefts occurred in the town centre and most of the victims were elderly.
Many of them reported three women banging into them to distract them and it was after this they noticed their purse had gone.
Police said many of the victims were carrying bank cards, along with their pin numbers, and warned people not to do so.
