“It’s been lovely to see him just getting out there.”

Harriet added that each time another donation comes in it motivates Zachary even more.

She said: “He’s really, really excited. His original target was £100.”

But Zachary has smashed his goal having raised more than £800 for the NHS.

The young lad has been completing his mammoth challenge in sections, running anything from a few laps of the car park before playing football with his dad to 5km.

Harriet added: “He seems to be getting more and more comfortable with the distance.”

Several fundraisers have been set up in aid of the NHS including a Horsham cyclist who rode more than 100 miles in his lounge.

Harriet said the positivity during the coronavirus pandemic was ‘amazing’ despite the fear.
