At 2am a 27-year-old local man was struck by a motor vehicle being driven by a 22- year-old local man. The pedestrian injuries were described as critical and police said the driver was helping their inquiries. Police are appealing for any witness to this incident, or who have spoken to a pedestrian in this area prior to the time of the incident.
