Our Emma is in running for Designer of the Year

Emma Prentice, designer of Brighton and Hove Independent, has been shortlisted in the Designer of the Year category in the EDF Energy London and South of England Media Awards.

Emma, 24, has worked for the newspaper for more than a year - during which time it has been officially recognised as the best-read newspaper in Brighton and Hove.

Greg Hadfield, editorial director, said: "Every week, Emma produces stunning work that helps Brighton and Hove Independent stand head and shoulders above any other newspaper in the city."

There were more than 300 entries in 20 categories in the prestigious EDF Energy awards. Winners will be announced on Thursday (November 13) at an awards ceremony at the American Express Community Stadium.
