Town will be left with nothing

As part of the regeneration of our town, substantial quantities of money were pumped into St Leonards.

There are definite signs that this is causing our town to thrive, but it’s early days, and care must be taken.

We have lost out NatWest bank, our Barclays bank, our HSBC bank, our Lloyds bank. It is now proposed that the post office is also to be taken from us, and it’s a ‘main’ one too, just as they’ve been trumpeting their new ‘banking’ services.

A while ago, we were told no town would be left with ‘nothing’ but that’s precisely what we’re going to get.

I have also written to Amber Rudd, our Home Secretary, to see if anything can be done to head off this destructive closure of our busy post office.
