Take care when storing fertiliser

Back in November last year there was a loud explosion one day in the Old Town which demolished a greenhouse.

It is probable though not certain that a tub of fertilizer pellets was the explosive.

Although the day was not specially sunny, it is possible that the tub became too hot
or that rays of sunshine became focused on the contents of the tub through broken glass. This is conjecture: what actually triggered the blast is not known. Take care when storing fertilizer, just in case.

Kieran, my newsagent, spotted the letter. When I collected the paper from him, the pages twinkled at me – with pretty green (Irish) glitter.
