Why are the toilets at Eastbourne seafront closed at 3pm?

I wish through your letters page to express both my dismay and puzzlement to find the public toilets near the bandstand closed at 3pm.

With the easing of the lockdown rules I was enjoying the sunshine on the beach with my family this afternoon and could not understand why the public convenience is only open from 10am until 3pm.

If it were the autumn or winter months it might be reasonable , but this is high summer with many people enjoying the beach, but having their visit cut short to drive back home to use the bathroom.

Surely the council must soon extend the closing time to at least 5pm?
