Who was it setting homes targets?

NICK Gibb accuses the government of dictating to communities where homes should be built, resulting in Arun having to find land for 11,500 houses by 2026 (Gazette, April 15).

May I point out that it was the last Tory government which set the figures for housing in the south-east?

Mr Gibb has opposed Arun District Council housing proposals in both Bognor and Littlehampton, as well as the proposed Eco-Town.

Will he please tell the 4,000 young couples and single people on Arun's housing list where they are to go to find a home?
