What an insult

Having been a volunteer with RVS for 16 years prior to the changes in the service in 2014, it comes as no surprise at all that the RVS is unable to continue with the new service.

Replacing dozens of volunteers driving their own cars with paid drivers in specially adapted vehicles to complete deliveries (without an increase in the charge for a meal) was never going to be financially viable.

Yes, the meals are an improvement, but the veiled suggestion that the previous meals were not served ‘with care’ is insulting.

I sincerely hope that the residents of West Sussex who need hot meals delivered continue to receive that Meals on Wheels service they deserve.
