The joys of growing old
I’m 73 years old now and do acknowledge that I’m old – especially by how, over the years, I have judged how other people are ‘old’.
I have always smiled – even laughed – at old folks walking along, with the wife’s arm linked into her husband’s.
Guess what, we now go for walks and she links her arm into mine and you know what – it’s nice – a really good feeling.
That’s why next year, we shall be celebrating our golden wedding.
By the way, I’m not really old you know – ‘old’ is two years more than one’s own present age!
