The ‘Flying Scotsmen’ join school fete

Henfield St. Peter’s School fete brought out hundreds of visitors on Saturday who were entertained by the ‘Flying Scotsmen’ wheelbarrow team.

As well as swirling kilts, waterbombs and wheelbarrow skirmishes, the good-humoured antics wowed an enthusiastic crowd.

Pony and donkey rides, a fire engine, bouncy castles, penalty shoot-outs, table games and children’s activity displays were highlights.

“We had brilliant weather and raised a good amount for school funds,” said PTA chairman Richard Lucy.

Children and parents led a procession down Henfield High Street before the start of the fete.
