Technology tournament
Four Farlington Year 9 girls - Rebecca Farman, Elizabeth Jelbert, Natasha Todd and Georgie Vine - took part in the Rotary International Technology Tournament on Friday June 13.
They competed against other schools from the region to design and build a device capable of lifting and moving a radioactive meteorite from a safe distance of 1.5m, with a very limited set of materials.
The girls did very well and completed the task confidently, setting the meteorite down perfectly on the target. Congratulations to the team on their achievement.
